Our Story

From the imagination of a mother and son

Mackys first entered our lives 3 years ago. They were the creative imaginings of Amos (then 3 years old) and Rachel (undisclosed years old). From first discovery, the world of Mackys grew, their legends expanding until it was time to share the Mackys with the world.

Meet the Mackys

There are so many species of Mackys, learn more about our favorite kinds. New Macky species are discovered every day!

Water Mackys

They like to swim in the water and jump over dams.

Forest Mackys

They like to fly from tree to tree and they sometimes go on the ground and swim. The babies have to learn how to fly

They like to be in the ocean with some salt water and whatever is at the bottom of the ocean. Maybe Macky food hiding under rocks.

Switch Mackys

They go in regular and salt water. They have to be regular water for part of their life so they can live a long life. They usually start in streams, maybe a salmon stream.

Desert Mackys
Everything Mackys

They like to be in a sandy area that is hot and dry. They eat cactus fruit. There are some Macky food packets out there, but not very many.

They can do whatever all the other Mackys can do. They know where to go anyhwere that's safe.

Ten Facts About Mackys

They have their own language. It's called Macky, of course.

Each crepe of Mackys joins with other crepes of Mackys and they go to their homes. Usually each family will have two crepes of Mackys.

They are very small, about the size of a baby carrot.

Mackys like salty food, especially salty cheese. Really really salty.

Mackys hatch from eggs. It takes 2 months for a Macky to hatch from an egg. Lots of them hatch in October.

There are Green Mackys and Red Mackys. Red Mackys are mean, Green Mackys are nice.

They don't have big eyesight when they're first born.​

A group of 6 baby Mackys is called a crepe. A group of adult Mackys is called a flight.

You know what kind of Macky you have found based on the color of the tip of it's tail. Red Mackys always have red-tipped tails.

They cannot eat Red Macky food if they are a Green Macky. If they're a Red Macky, they can't eat Green Macky food.
